After an unmentionable wait we are here with the final list of nominated blogs for the 2008 Indibloggies. Notes:
1. The "Best IndiBlog directory/service/clique/network" category was dropped due to insufficient number of nominations received.
2. IB-2008 edition is running late, note that the nominations happened in Feb 2009 and the Jury rating process happened in March/April 2009, since then some Blogs have either moved or are now defunct. However, since they existed at the mentioned URLs at the time of nomination/Juror rating phase we have listed the URLs we have on our records. We urge you to vote for such blogs based on your best judgment.

Thank you for the nomination in the indipodcast. I love doing this project and I am thrilled that the taxi drivers' voices are being heard, as they tell us the story of our city, of themselves, of ourselves. I also can't believe I made the list. Really deep thanks.

Debashish replied: The URL changed after the blog was nominated & judged.

I think the judges are going to find it very difficult to pick any one. Each one has it own uniqueness about it.

Debashish replied: Judges? The Jury phase is already over Dude. Now it would a Public Poll that decides the winner, so its gonna be difficult job for you & all of us, I guess :)

Debashish replied: The blogs were there when the nominations/rating process happened. in final polls they should be voted for the listed blog URL.

Hi,

Firstly, congratulations for kicking up the Indiblog awards 2009. It is been received well and written about [esp at the blogs of the nominated junta].

I have gone through each category and the respective nominations and felt to share this with you [If am allowed or my feedback is counted:)]-

1. The nominations are very typical esp in personal and humor category. by typical I meant that you have selected only few bloggers when there is a good lot to be chosen from. A lot of these bloggers are repeated in different categories[Its ok if aren the patrons or the team behind].
2. You can actually do a bit of research and give more bloggers a chance to be part in. BY doing so, u may achieve-
2.a) A wider junat particuipating promoting it
2.b] Larger people given an opportunity and not just the famous few
2.c] encourage new bloggers or lesser known

3. repetitions could be avoided and some etc focus to be given to good yet not that popular bloggers
4. Fresh entries could be given a chance else the award borders on filmfare lookalike which is famous for its preferential services given to big production houses only.
I hope that my suggestions will make sense and you can make necessary changes. I believe it is not too late yet! :)

And yes, I am not asking for my blog but for giving us variety and innovation:)

Silly I didn't know such a thing existed! Missed the bus I guess.

The Sports nominations, mostly, was a let down. No mention of Bored cricket Crazy Indians, Naked Cricket, Straight Point, The cricket Watcher's Journal, Silly M(a)id On, Maiden Bowling, Eye on Cricket or my baby Doosra, which Telegraph Sports (UK) readers have voted no. 1 cricket blog and 'The Times' mentioned in its 'Best of Web' compilation.

I guess not enough friends to nominate us:)
